Robert Ingersoll, called “The Great Agnostic”, became admired for lectures against organized religion before large crowds while traveling across America in the late 1800’s.About 100 years later, UUs in Michigan were exposed to Ingersoll through Rev. Roger Greeley of People’s Church in Kalamazoo, who researched extensively wearing costume to deliver Ingersoll’s words from memory. Bruce Froelich will offer a brief (and less grand) summary of Ingersoll.
