AUGUST 10, 2025 – “If Only I had One Sermon to Preach” – Rev. Ken Phifer
People have often asked me where I get titles and themes for my sermons. I finally began answering the question , since the truth is I have no idea where those notions come from, by saying, I actually only have one sermon so titles and themes are easy to find. Someone challenged me to preach my one sermon, so on my last Sunday as the senior minister of the UU congregation in Ann Arbor I did just that. I shall with a few minor modifications to that July, 2005 homiletical effort share with you what I said that day.
