AUGUST 11, 2024 – Pilgrim Days, Pilgrim Ways – Dr. Frederick Wooden
Fred Wooden is a UU minister who served five churches over 40 years, retiring in 2020 from the independent liberal Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids. However, his preaching career started in Grosse Pointe, Michigan where he spoke for the first time back in the summer of 1973. While his sermon this morning is not about that long journey, it will be about his growing practice of pilgrimage and how it may be the quintessential UU spiritual practice.
