In the latter half of the 19th Century, you would be hard pressed to find two more dissimilar women than Helen Adams Keller and Johanna Mansfield (aka Anne) Sullivan. The fates would conspire to bring together Anne – a brilliant but emotionally damaged young woman from the poor houses of Boston – and Helen – a headstrong child of an unhappy marriage from the rural backwaters of Alabama.
