SEPTEMBER 6, 2026 – “Science and Religion” – Dr. Patrick Cain
History shows that the intersection of religion and science is often full of strife. What is religion? What is science? Are the two truly at odds? Here, we will discuss historical and
modern contexts of religion and science, including science and technology, evolutionary perspectives, and past and current religious views.
Dr. Patrick Cain is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Defiance college where he pursues interests in Conservation Biology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavioral Ecology
